- Mr. Iizuka, 1st Class Architect designed a two story wood frame structure for the house owner who wished large open design for the interior of the house but restricted in the amount of footprint available on the lot.
- The structure is basically a rectangular box with uneven floor levels in the interior in order to create the large open space design desired by the owner. The Roof is constructed in the North American Rafter Frame style with the Rafters left exposed. Large solid KD D. Fir beams were employed to tie two exterior walls while leaving the interior space open.
- KD CT E120-F330 were used throughout the Japanese Post & Beam Frame structure, many components left exposed in the interior surfaces.
- The entire exterior surface is clad with heat reflective material over rigid insulation secure outside of the structural sheathing.
