- KK Maple Homes, a wholly owned subsidiary of KK Santa Chusho of Tokyo built a Display House in Tsukuba City, Ibaraki Prefecture to feature Heavy Timber Construction Houses they plan to begin marketing for non-metropolitan regions in the Kanto and Kansai regions.
- Heavy Timber Structures developed by KK Daitec of Iwaki, Fukushima based on 8×8 and 10×10 Hem Fir Solid Timbers was chosen for the main structural frame work. Canada Tsuga E120-F330 standard JPZ P&B lumber sizes made up the bulk of the walls, floor and roof panel construction.
- The Heavy Timber Houses are aimed for the High Income market in the Kanto and Kansai region.
