プロジェクト名:Wisdom Tea House
建物タイプ:特別木造 躯体 ディスプレー・モニュメント
- World renowned Architect and Designer, Mr. Kengo Kuma, designed a free standing display monument in response to a special request from the United Nations University in Tokyo to commemorate Human Accomplishments and its complexity.
- The project is named the “Wisdom Tea House” project. The all wood, free standing structure measuring almost 10 meters high was assembled in front of the United Nations University Tokyo Campus along the main arterial thorough way “Route 246” in Central Tokyo prior to the Christmas Holidays in late 2012. The structure was dismantled after the 2013 New Year’s holidays.
- YK Ejiri Structural Engineer firm performed the complex structural engineering calculations and met all building regulations pertaining to temporary free standing structures in public areas. In order to insure a healthy allowance in seismic rigidity, Canada Tsuga E120-F330 rated lumber was selected.
- Canada Tsuga Partners Association donated two bundles of CT E120-F330 105×105 lumber for the project while KK Daitec performed the complex Pre-Cut work.
