- A commercial structure to house a private museum for cardboard products was constructed in central Tokyo.
- Mr. Sato, Chief designer at Y’s Architectural Design Office selected Canada Tsuga E120-F330 rated structural lumber in order to satisfy the stringent seismic rigidity required for the structural frame. Newly developed JAS certified Canada Tsuga Glue-Laminated products were also employed to span the wide spans required in the structure.
- Many of the structural components are left exposed in the interior and integrated into the final interior design motif.
- All exterior surface is finished in non-combustible cladding material to meet fire code regulations effective for the zone.
